Performance Journey

If you want to make a real impact in your industry then finding a mentor is one of the best decisions you
can make especially given that most business sectors are undergoing disruptive change. The statistics speak for themselves:

  • 97% of those who have a mentor say they make a big impact
  • 84% of CEOs say it’s helped them avoid mistakes in their businesses
  • 92% of small business owners agree it’s helped them grow

In other words, drop or two of wisdom from someone who not only knows the ropes but can offer
‘an outside perspective’ makes a world of difference.

Why choose me as your mentor?

“Lou is a pioneer and a visionary. Not only was he directly involved in the early stage of the Industrial Internet of Things when most of us where learning to program in BASIC but was able to visualize transformational business models and sell a brand-new concept to manufacturing-related leaders worldwide: digitally enabled predictability!”

Martin Schäfer Business Transformational Executive and Non-Executive Board Director Santiago, Chile

Well, first off, you’ll be getting access to someone who has a profound understanding of all aspects of industrial manufacturing. I’ve worked my way through the ranks to reach the top (I was VP global sales for one of the world’s foremost Industrial Internet of Things solutions providers), which means I also have special knowledge of disruptive technologies. And having been involved with driving major projects, leading diverse teams, and consistently delivering results so I understand the challenges you face and can offer pragmatic solutions tailored to your specific needs.

And my experience isn’t just theoretical. I’ve led teams through major projects and mentored tech firm founders, translating complex challenges into implementable solutions. In other words, I’ve a practical approach that will help you see beyond mere numbers and strategies to understand the human psychology that underpins successful sales and operations.

Over the years, I’ve built relationships with key influencers and decision-makers across the globe. Whether you need an introduction to a potential business partner or insights from a leading expert in your field, my connections can open doors that accelerate your career growth. Imagine the impact of being able to connect with top-tier professionals and opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach.

One more thing. just because I’ve been around the block a few times don’t think I’m behind the game. Far from it — consider me “old school with a new school twist” — someone who challenges the norm through innovative thinking.

If you’re hungry for success and ready to make a real impact, finding a mentor like me could be your best next step. Should we talk?

My way of doing things?

"Who you let speak into your life is so important. It’s more than just the words they say, what they say will teach you, but who they are will change you!"

John C Maxwell, author, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

For me, mentoring is more than a tick-box exercise, it’s a personal commitment to helping you unlock your full potential. So, if (when) we start working together, I’d be on your side. Accessible. Responsive. Supportive. In there for the long run.

So, forget any idea that I’ll be coming at you with a one-size-size-fits-all cookie-cutter approach, whether we are working in a group or one-to-one I’ll be looking to create a tailored mentoring plan that works for you within that program.

In other words, I want us to be working as a partnership that works for us both. That means I’m big on relationships. In fact, I’ve built my entire career on win-win interactions with my customers. So, if you are looking for someone who xxx then sorry I’m not your guy.

In terms of support, I’ll listen first and then provide what I hope is empathetic guidance — whether that’s providing the motivation to get you through mental blocks, picking you up when things go wrong (and we both know they will), or pushing you out of your comfort zone by challenging your assumptions. Put that together and you’ll be getting constructive feedback with the bullshit taken out.

Who are you?

One of the most important things is for us to be the right fit. It doesn’t matter whether it’s me or it’s you, if we don’t gel then this isn’t going to work. So, what am I looking for in you?

1

You’ll be someone who sets high standards for themselves and is ambitious to get to the top in their chosen field. There’s no point working with me if you’re not. And should go without saying that you’ll be committed, disciplined, and ready to put in the effort required to achieve extraordinary results. You’ll also be ready to take personal responsibility for your own progress and outcomes. To be blunt, I don’t want to be working with any ‘victims’.

“Peak performance doesn’t happen by accident – it is purposeful, deliberate, and carefully architected from the very foundation – this is what Lou Leuzzi brings to every team he leads, coaches, and mentors.”

You understand that true development comes from listening, adapting, and applying new strategies. You’ll be receptive to embracing new ideas. You’ll think of yourself as an innovative thinker, someone who isn’t interested in following trends but setting them.

3

I’ve already mentioned I’m big into relationship-building and I’d expect you to be the same. I want my customers to benefit from what I’m offering them and not be worse off. So, if you’re happy just taking the money from one-off transactions and then moving on, then sorry I’m not the right guy for you.

4

You’re probably working in the tech sector. Sure, I could bring value if you were in retail, healthcare or finance for instance, but probably I can bring best value if you are in the manufacturing or tech space.

5

You’ll have some experience. If you’re just starting out, learning your trade, then I’m probably not the right person for you … yet. But if you’ve some background with a solid understanding of your industry’s landscape then that gives me something to kick against.

If you’re hungry for success and ready to make a real impact, finding a mentor like me could be your best next step. Should we talk?

Remake — The End of Manufacturing As We Know It

In 2022, I wrote “Remake — The End of Manufacturing As We Know It,” as a way to capture my thoughts about how industrial manufacturers could use emerging technologies like the Industrial Internet of Things not just as some productivity tool, but a way to create new disruptive business models. It seemed to catch a few people’s attention as it went on to become an Amazon Best Seller, which I’ll take, given the books rather technical nature.

The Evolution of a Sales Mind

In “The Evolution of the Sales Mind,” Lou Leuzzi offers a guide for sales professionals in today’s evolving landscape. Drawing from his career in technology and manufacturing, Lou’s journey from novice to sales leader provides the narrative backbone, enriched with anecdotes, lessons, insights, and strategies about how to achieve sales success. The book emphasizes continuous learning, resilience, adaptability, and the need for emotional intelligence in a sales environment that’s changing faster than ever. Whether a seasoned leader or an aspiring newcomer, if you are in enterprise sales, this is a ‘must read’ book.
